Fetes - as any British person will tell you - are an integral part of village life in the British Isles, and have been for generations.

However, they are in grave danger of going the way of the dinosaur.

Why? Official bureaucracy, of course.

The meddlers and the jobsworths who now infest the official world are making it harder and harder for people to have a bit of fun on the weekend.
